The Idea..

Hi! Thanks for your interest in the SL. Let me start by saying THIS IS NOT: a guild, a new realm, or even a rigidly structured SL. This IS, my latest effort to unify all those lonely Modern Fantasy Charries out there that have been pock-marking the "Find a Chat" option with rooms like "Modern IMRP please/craved/lusted after" what have you. Not that they're a bad thing! No no no.. I've been known, on occasion to slip into one of those rooms myself... but, I digress. This is a mission of mercy. A way to connect everyone. I started with a prominent family. A retired actress, her three daughters, and her ward. There are only two premade characters in this SL for the taking. Katherine, the eldest daughter, and Sadie, the youngest. Other then these two charries, it's open season! You'll be free to create whatever type of character you want, or even, blow the dust off an old one and bring him/her out of hiding, so long as:



A. They fit the Modern/Fantasy Genre. They don't have to be fantastical.. such as being anything other then a human without any special abilities, but if you DO choose to be fantastical, see stipulation B & C. Also, if you choose to have a modern/realistic character, please adjust accordingly to this setting. You WILL encounter characters that are NOT realistic.



B. Characters can range in species from Humans, Vampires, Werewolves and a bunch of crap in between. If you are unsure that your charries species is acceptable, simply ask. I'm a perfect angel, I won't scream.



C. Let's talk "talents". While this setting allows for the metaphysical, I will say that I prefer not to play with people who have characters that are "ALL POWERFUL GODS OF THE UNIVERSE!!" Can we exercise some moderation here? I'll give you a couple examples. Eden. Eden hears her mother, even though Mary Walker is long since dead. The dead woman serves as something like a conscience to her daughter, and while the situation is the true state of things, Eden thinks she may be going nuts. Audrey. Audrey has a way of seeing the beauty in everything so long as it has a shred. Play with Audrey will begin with the Muns agreeing on what Audrey may or may not see. If the charrie she's playing opposite of is pure evil, obviously.. she's not seein' any beauty there. If the charrie she's playing opposite of has a way to shield themselves against "a reading" obviously.. she won't be able to find it. Even if the opposing character DOES have a shred of beauty and their mun just, simply put, doesn't want Audrey to draw it out, Audrey's ability will fail her, as it has on several occasions. Again, if you are unsure about the character's "power", all ya gotta do is ask.



D. Characters must be connected to someone that's already involved. Family, friend, coworker, lover, rival, whatever.. this is to ensure that everyone has SOMEONE to play with, after all.. a family who plays together, stays together. ::snorts:: OK! So I'm a dork, big deal.



E. Have some brain cells. I personally don't play with post minimums. If the scene calls for a novel, write a novel, if it doesn't, don't. Having said that, please be creative and descriptive. Having said that, I despise elitists. This IS just a game and therefore it's supposed to be fun. If you're new at RPing. don't be scared! I'll answer whatever questions I can and help you every step of the way if you should require it. I've been RPing for over seven years now and it has served me well as a creative outlet, why deny others that same privilege?
